About Me

Small Strides CIC was founded in 2014 by lead facilitator Jenny MacSharry.

Jenny had been working in Mental Health for over 10 years, often taking her clients to the horses. This is where she saw the huge benefits they received when being around them. Jenny decided to look into this further, this was when she came across Horses Helping People, where she began her training, completing a business course in EFL, alongside an Animal Assisted Practitioner Diploma.

Small Strides started as an Equine Assisted Learning and activity's centre and over the years Jenny has developed her skills and passion to get it where it is today. Jenny is a fully qualified and insured Advanced EFT & Matrix Re-Imprinting Practitioner, Reiki Master and Intuitive Healer as well as Level 1 trained Trauma Informed Equine Facilitated Learning Practitioner with Natural Lifemanship. Jenny combines her levels of expertise  to deliver unique bespoke programs, courses and workshops.

Jenny has also completed her Fundamentals Level 1 & 2 training with Equusoma to integrate Somatic Experiencing (SE) and trauma neuroscience into horse/human relationships.

Located in Beach Bristol, in the heart of the Cotswolds Small Strides CIC is accessible to both rural and urban groups from Bath, Bristol and surrounding areas.

All activities with the horses are groundwork there is no ridden work involved, but don’t let this put you off as there is so much more to learn and experience with just BEing with the horses. Jenny's methods are based upon Natural Horsemanship principles and Jenny really values each one of her horses as they are an important part of her team.

Jenny says,"Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to get into a career path that would make a difference in people’s lives. This interest has taken me on a profound journey or studying, self-healing and discovery and eventually a full time job. I am committed to the well-being of all my clients and go above and beyond to cater to their needs. I truly care for all of my clients, and work diligently to help them work through the problems they face. Over the years I have worked with many clients dealing with circumstances that are unique to their lives with really positive results. I absolutely love my job and am always striving for ways to better myself and my service."
