Small Strides CIC was founded by Jenny MacSharry, who has over 25 years’ experience working with horses and 16 years’ experience working as a mental health support worker. More recently Jenny qualified as a EFT & Matrix Re-Imprinting practitioner and has come up with unique was to use this along side her Equine Therapy.
In 2006 Jenny embarked on her journey into Mental Health field, working as a mental health support worker and completing her Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. While working as a support worker for Supported Independence she worked with a range of both adults and children with various mental health illnesses, learning difficulties, ASD and challenging behaviour.
Jenny studied her Level 2 Diploma in Horse Care and Management as well as a Therapeutic Horsemanship Business Course with Horse’s Helping People which enabled her to prepare for an exciting career in therapeutic horsemanship. She also is a qualified Animal Assisted Therapy Practitioner.
Over the past year Jenny has been training with Eqqusoma & Natural Lifemanship Organisations to bring a more Trauma Informed Approach and new principles to her work.
Located in Beach Bristol, Small Strides CIC is accessible to both rural and urban groups from Bath, Bristol and surrounding areas.
All activities with the horses are groundwork there is no ridden work involved, but don’t let this put you off as there is so much more to learn and experience with just BEing with the horses.
Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to get into a career path that would make a difference in people’s lives. This interest has taken me on a profound journey or studying, self-healing and discovery and eventually a full time job. As a Equine Assisted Learning & Emotional Trauma Release Practitioner in the Bristol area, I am committed to the well-being of all my clients and go above and beyond to cater to their needs.
I truly care for all of my clients, and work diligently to help find them overcome the problems they face. Since 2014, I have worked with a variety of clients dealing with circumstances that are unique to their lives.
